BBC Radio 4 Midweek - Wednesday 11 April 2012

Update 11 April:  Well, that seemed to go well.  Have to say I did enjoy the experience and Libby was certainly very enthusiastic about the diaries. You should be able to hear the whole programme by going to the Midweek website and downloading it via i-Player.  A kind friend also recorded it here (large file 3MB); Midweek starts 2min 30secs in - after the news.

Edie is scheduled to be back on the Beeb; this time on BBC Radio 4's Midweek programme. Great nephew Dick Robinson will be interviewed on Wednesday 11 April, alongside others, by presenter Libby Purves. The programme starts after the news at 9am.

The other guests will be:
  • Sir Trevor McDonald, who is presenting a new 3 part series on ITV, 'The Mighty Mississippi', in which he travels 2500 miles up the Mississippi river to examine how the river has played a central role in American history.

  • Gregory Doran, the RSC's Artistic Director Designate who is about to direct David Edgar's play 'Written on the Heart' at the Duchess Theatre, to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

  • Lord and Lady Fitzalan Howard of Carlton Towers in Yorkshire who feature in a new series on Sky Atlantic, The Guest Wing, in which four stately homes open their doors to show how they have kept their houses from crumbling by turning them into wedding venues etc.

Comments welcomed after the event via the Visitors Book. Be kind!
